About me!

Who am I?

Hi! My name is Taylor Starke, I am a junior Public Health major with a Nutrition minor here at Ohio University. I am incredibly interested in sexual health and more importantly, women's reproductive rights within the broad pool of health topics. I truly hope to pursue something relating to either of these topics of health in my future after schooling. I am from Madison, Ohio, which is about a four hour drive from Athens, so I'm quite a bit aways from home, however, I found a family and security here in Athens that I wouldn't trade for the world!

I am very close with my family, and being so far away from them is difficult at times, but they make sure to visit me at school from time to time which makes the distance not seem so far.

Interests & Hobbies

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends, boyfriend, and playing with my cat. However, I would consider myself an introvert and I really appreciate my alone time, and sometimes prefer this over spending time with friends. During these more introvert-ed times, I enjoy reading and watching Netflix. I recently became interested in cooking and have started writing my own recipes for some of my favorite foods as well! Even simple dishes, like an egg breakfast, I enjoy making and plating to look pleasing.

This is my boyfriend, Pete, and I. We have been dating for almost three years and he helps me in a tremendous amount to stay sane and be as productive as I can be during stressful school years. He is an English major and has in interested in Sci-Fi writing styles. He also attends Ohio University, which makes being here even better.
